my apologies to those of you who check regularly. i have not given you much to look at! emily and i actually didn't take any pictures when she came to visit. i am heading down to meet her parents this weekend. we WILL be taking some pictures of that so stay posted! below is what has happened on the school/hunting/fishing/emily fronts:
school: it started on the 2nd of september. i have been super busy putting in about 10 hours a day on average. the first two weeks we were getting trained on the new driving simulator. it is impressive and fun to drive. some might say i play expensive video games for work!
hunting: the opener of archery season this year found me 5 miles in somewhere in sw montana. it was a rainy weekend with no elk bugling. the meadow system i chose to hunt had an outfitter camp right smack in the middle of it. i had fun but only got exercise and rained on!
fishing: last weekend joel and i took out the drift boat for a fall run on the yellowstone. we started about 11 a.m. and floated for six miles. the fishing was great for whitefish and moderate for trout, we both ended up with some 15-16" rainbows. any day on the river instead of class is much appreciated!
emily: she came up to visit over labor day weekend and we had a great time. we went to the MSU football game on saturday and left at halftime because the cats were stomping their lower class opponents. sunday found us in helena to see my folks and we relaxed on sunday! as i mentioned i am driving down friday to see her and go to her little sister's bday party.
